Ashby’s Banksia (Banksia ashbyi)
Ashby’s Banksia are native to areas close to the coast, in mid-Western Australia, with stunning large orange flower spike. When the 'petals' drop off, the iconic large woody flower spike is left behind. This is where seeds develop and are released, with some species needing intense heat such as a bushfire to trigger their release.
