Wooden earrings featuring a Showy Banksia flower (Banksia speciosa ).
Banksia plants are easily distinguished by their spiky leaves and ball- or cylindrical-shaped flower. They are found in many regions of Western Australia, from the Kimberley down to the Great Southern, in a variety of colours too. The Showy Banksia has white flowers and is native only to the sandy regions around Esperance. Banksia are a favourite of wildflower enthusiasts and are an important food source for a variety of creatures, birds and insects. These earrings are a little different - the image is not a mirror images, but instead the full image extends across both earrings.
